When I see Daisy’s, I get instant pangs of nostalgia; making Daisy chains in the school field as a kid and ‘Tippexing’ over any stationary I had in the shape of flowers. I love them, their simplicity, their cuteness and they just seem like a generally ‘happy’ flower don’t they?
Flower Power started in the swinging 60’s and whilst I’m slightly obsessed with this decade, that’s a whole other blog to explore at a later date. I did find this gem of a bikini though from a shoot in 1968 and any aspiring swim wear designers out there let me know as I’d be happy to put in an order for this….in a slightly larger size of course!
One of our fashion fav’s is Alexa Chung, who made us all take notice of the Daisy’s when she rocked up to this year’s Grammy’s in this beautiful, Valentino, sundress.
Of course the average person’s dress budget isn’t that ofso we found this almost identical summer dress from French Connection.
I love a big baggy jumper and while the weather is STILL teasing us with the odd ray of sunshine then these are perfect. Budget or Blow Out? There’s one for each!
When it’s time to get the pins out, you can rest assured there is plenty of choice when it comes to dresses, skirts and top’s, this is our pick of the ‘daisy’ bunch.

Vanessa Hudgens was spotted at this year’s Coachella festival, shading herself from the sun with a giant daisy.

While for most people this wouldn’t be that practical, there are plenty of other accessories to choose from.
If you’re feeling extra creative and want to hide those grubby festival nails then get involved with some nail art. Barry M has a huge selection of nail colours and you can normally find it on offer in Boots stores.
And when you’re all dressed up and ready to go, give yourself a spritz of Marc Jacobs ‘Daisy Sunshine’.
Don’t think the boys are being left out either. If you’re more ‘Dapper’ than ‘Dappy’ this Duchamp pocket square and Blaqua shirt is the perfect addition to the more discerning gentleman’s attire.
