With London Fashion week well underway and the emergence of so many new trends I have decided to take a look back at a trend that never diminishes and one of the greatest perpetrators of the look.

This BangTidyStyling instalment is about one of my favourite icons and her look: The vintage, boho, mystical and ethereal, style of Stevie Nicks.

She has influenced decades of trends and her fashion legacy is famed for tassels, beads and floaty kaftans. Here are some of my favourite looks from the 40 plus years her career has spanned :

With the help of a heavy fringe, platforms, shawls, lace, chiffon, layered necklaces and cuffs you can serve your Nix fix and recreate the look. Here are some modern day takes on her look:

Ebay has a plethora of original pieces, as well as modern day takes and is where I head to for many vintage goodies.  Charity shops (Jemma’s favourite) are always worth a rummage for a Nicks inspired item.

If you want a pretty much exact copy of a Stevie Nicks piece try www.designsbybear.com, who will also custom make anything you fancy.

I must also give a mention to Australian company, Spell and the Gypsy Collective (www.spelldesigns.com), my new found love (and where I will be ordering my SS13 wardrobe from!), gorgeous gypsy spirited, boho chic clothing, perfect for recreating the look. See below:

Did I mention I got tickets to the Fleetwood Mac gig for September? No need to guess who I’ll be going dressed as!
