So he did it! Yes, Andy Murray, the man from Dunblane who since last year’s tennis final has warmed the nation’s hearts -only went and won the Wimbledon Men’s tennis final and for that we salute him! It’s events like this that really do bring the nation together and make you feel proud to be British. I was tensely glued to the screen throughout the final but I’d be lying if I said it was ALL down to the tennis….

This year the fashion pack were out in full force and whether they were seated in the players box or the Royal box ‘Centre Court’ should be re-named ‘Centre Catwalk’.

Kim Sears is now Wimbledon’s First Lady and let’s face it, she may play safe with her fashion choices but she never puts a fashion foot wrong. With a wardrobe that spans high street to high end and the Mulberry Willow bag that she’s rarely seen without, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Kim on our fashion pages methinks…Maybe a new Mulberry ‘Kim’ bag??

Kim in the floral print, ‘ Zara’ dress that has virtually sold out and been very popular on various celebs ,including the likes of Holly Willoughby. The ‘Victoria Beckham’ mint lace dress, £925, that Kim wore to cheer on her partner to victory. Last shot, Kim in a monochrome look with a burst of summer sun with a bright orange jacket.

Although heavily pregnant Kate was watching from the comfort of her sofa this year, her sister Pippa made sure she was flying the Middleton style flag in a stripy ‘Temperley’ number with new squeeze Nico Jackson.

One surprise of the day was Victoria Beckham’s, Louis Vuitton’s’ negligee dress. Quite a racy choice of outfit for an afternoon of sport in SW19, and not normally one to miss an opportunity of wearing one of her own creations. Still, she looked stunning as per!

Novak Djokovic was a very gracious runner up and seeing his girlfriend, Jelena Ristic, congratulate Andy Murrays mum after his victory, I couldn’t help but let out a heart felt ‘awww’. Although her outfit on centre court couldn’t really compete with Kim Sears, the dress she wore that evening at Djokovic’s charity gala dinner beat everyone hands down!

The navy and white stripes are so striking and the nip in at the waist gives the perfect silhouette. Also how amazing does Kate Hudson look in this black gothic creation? Nicely accessorised with her beau, ‘Muse’ frontman, Matt Bellamy and mum Goldie Hawn.

My personal fashion favourite of the day though has to be Suki Waterhouse, in a beautiful vintage Ossie Clark dress and retro style sunglasses. I LOVE IT. Her boyfriend isn’t bad either, although you’d be forgiven for thinking that her current partner, Bradley Cooper, was there with just his bromance buddy, Gerard Butler, Suki was in fact tentatively by his (other) side.

Bradley and Gerard both dressed up for the event in their finest summer suits in this season’s, very popular pale shades of blue.

Another popular suit colour trending for the men this year is pink, and Amir Khan did a fine job of showing off his Gatsby-esque  style in this ensemble with new wife Faryal.

Although they had been performing the night before at London’s Hyde Park, ‘Rolling Stone’ Ronnie Wood covered up any signs of late night partying with these on trend, mirrored, Ray Ban ‘Aviators’. A staple in everyone’s wardrobe this year from Cara Delavingne to the fore-mentioned Ronnie. I will most definitely be purchasing a pair!

Right I’m off to enjoy this sun while it lasts! (Please last)
